I'm actually, currently at this moment, at a thinkpad training session, but of course, I' not paying attention. just wanted to let everyone know that Wake is awesome and that i'm having a great time. or maybe not. but there are a few points in there that just really hit the core of the issue. and a little bit of hyperbole. but what a cool term paper that would be - eminem vs. abbie hoffman and lenny bruce. oh my god.

also... you thought some bands were pretentious. check out the press release on the new sigur ros album:

"here's what you've all been waiting for, we've finally been given the go ahead to give details of the new sigur rós album. the album is 70 minutes long and is entitled ( ). the album's eight songs are all untitled and the songs are sung in "hopelandic", in other words the vocals don't have any lyrics. the eight-page booklet is all blank and listeners will be invited to write in their own lyrics for the songs. in a move that is sure to result in the lower end of the media waving the pretentious card, sigur rós have chosen to take minimalism to the extreme on their new album. the music should speak for itself. the confirmed release date for ( ) is october 28th. we'll bring you more details about the album cover and artwork shortly"
